The original plan was to use the F-35 but it was down with maintenance issues, so they went with the Osprey. I think I saw a couple of feathered Ospreys while flying around over the weekend, and a number of Bald Eagles also-

Had a great time at the Pax River Expo, with the Blue Angels, Panchito, Trojan Horsemen, Red Bull Team, etc., and great weather, and great reception from the US Navy-

Each Osprey rotor diameter is the same as the Curtiss wing span

Next stop for the Curtiss is Oceana at the end of the month http://www.oceanaairshow.com/

Then Jerry Yagen's on the first weekend of October http://www.militaryaviationmuseum.org/a ... w1-airshow

Then Hagarstown, MD the following weekend for the centennial of the first flight there http://www.wingsandwheelsexpo.com/
