This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

It's been quite a long time since I posted on Wix, so it's high time I posted some photos from the UK.
We've been rather blighted with poor weather and high winds this year so we've not been able to fly many of the more fragile aeroplanes in the Shuttleworth Collection. However, last Saturday, despite a less than encouraging forecast the weather settled down and we got some good light and the second appearance of the Edwardian flying machines this year.
Thanks to the efforts of the staff and volunteers I think that everyone left with a smile on their face.
Here's a selection of my photos from the show, the remainder of my photos and higher resolution versions of these photos can be found in my
Flickr Account. There are a few gaps in the coverage of the show because I was looking after a BBC film crew during the show.

Superb set of photos Robbo! I love seeing the gliders and the look of grim determination on the pilot in the Avro Triplane.

Love it! Someday I want to go and see it in person.

Thanks for your comments, it's a great privilege to have the opportunity to see these rare birds flying so often. I used to think that my 180 mile round trip to Old Warden was a long way to go, but I've come to appreciate that many people come from a lot further away just to see these sights.

Beautiful stuff. Just like my feelings for Duxford...nothing compares to old aeroplanes and grass runways.

Amazing photos! Love seeing something besides WW2 stuff Flying, those truly were the days yo fly by the seat of your pants (like the pilot in the BoxKite).
