Just wanted to pass on along to my fellow Wixer's in case you are restoring a "Lufwtaffe" Aircraft.

That's most of the outer starboard wing from an Fw 190... that's a pretty neat find, clearly Russian Front. I'd love to know whose aircraft this was (unit, pilot, etc).

Its not FW190, the construction style is all wrong.
Not that I know what it is!

Not 190 as Bruce says.
Could be a Bf109F. Other possibility is Hs126.

Glanced and noticed:
-looks like a fairly small wing next to that truck wheel
-what appears to be a jammed leading edge slat?
-underwing circular access hatch
so figured maybe a bf-109, but now not so sure. Maybe that isnt a slat? Shouldnt there be a few more access hatches? Is that tip shape correct for a bf-109? Maybe it's just damage that's making it not look right? If only I hadnt left my bf-109 in my other hanger I could just go compare the two.

It's absolutely not a Bf 109 part. Here's the pic which led me to think it was an Fw 190 wing section; note the subtle curve to the aileron well, and the wingtip which bolts on at an angle. I don't know much about the Hs 126, and there aren't any to go look at, so I can't say how close this is to that design.

Just had a thought... what's the outer wing of an Fw 189 look like?

The sharp taper and angled insignia position had me thinking along the same lines, Lynn. Here's a three-view of a 189 turned up in a bit of Googling:

The general arrangment of panel lines looks about right, as does the position of the insignia, compared to this wartime photo (best I could find online.)

oo, yes that gentle curve at the end there looks quite similar! The wingtip light holes dont look quite right though, is that just a ding in the leading edge wingtip or is that for a light? A bit better view of the tip in the third picture on the ebay listing. This is the right wing, correct? insignia seems a little crooked compared to the pictures of its placement on the 189, though maybe it's just an eye trick.

Looks as if someone over there has dug up a dump site.
