Rosie the Riveter at Oshkosh

Tue Aug 02, 2011 6:16 pm

We had some photos taken of a girl recreating Rosie the Riveter. We wanted to get her name and info for some possible future events at the museum. Does anyone know her?

UH, Chris...got a photo of the lady in question? 'Big muscles, handlebar moustasche, full beard, and you should have seen the guys she was with!'

HAHA No that is not her. I wish I had thought fast enough to get her contact info. We want to have her come out and do a further photoshoot at the museum.

Never look directly into the camera, that way you won't look like you're getting ready to drive a blown fuel altered! And I've had those nights where you put one foot on the floor to stop the bed from spinning! :drinkers: :drinkers:

JB, she's in aviation so these days she probably was carrying a sign that read 'will work on airplanes for food'

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! I haven't heard that one in ages!

But, yes, it does work! I used to "anchor" myself to the floor with one foot dangling from the bed,
and it worked wonders to allow me to sleep!!! No more room spinning, no more "waves" rolling the floor... Those were the days, so many years ago and one liver earlier :drink3: :drink3: :drink3:

Saludos,

We had been discussing how cool a shot would be with the stinger if we could find a Rosie the Riveter. Next thing I know here comes Jon with Rosie. He saw her, asked her to come and pose in our B-17 tail. Turns out she is a huge B-17 fan. It was great to meet her, but she was going to do something else, and we never had the chance to get her contact info.
