Thanks for the update Spooky,

I'm going to be down in Seattle next week and I'll try and get down there to take a look.

Peace,

Looking forward to seeing it on August 6th (from under the shelter of my umbrella)!

Thanks for the link.

I remember one summer dropping by the MoF and the Bee taxied right up to the museum. I thought I was pretty lucky that day. Do they still run the engines at all?

The article says last on display in 1999. Is that correct? They've kept it out of view for over ten years?

If you saw it running you're a lucky guy. Odds are it probably won't be anytime soon.

Indeed I did. It was quite a treat, and now it seems more of one than I realized at the time. I have some pics on 35mm around here somewhere...trick is if I can locate them.

As far as no rain, me too! I just spent two wet half days digging my '63 Ford T Bird out of Winter storage and getting it running while being rained on up here in BEOOOTIFULL Mt. Vermin, WA. and....look!~ it's raining right now (I'd love to have a chat with the guys who designed the heads and plug locations in the Ford FE engine).

I will second that question....I think we are up to .75 for the year!

Any of you folks getting tired of rain can send it Charleston's way. We're about 10 inches below normal rainfall this year.

Brother-I've offered to send everyone suffering from fires a large box of our 50% humidity and 63-68 f temps, officially Summer doesn't start around Western Washington until July 5th (you become adept @ lighting fireworks from under an umbrella, 3 inch mortors are a summgum unless you're quick!). State and National Parks here have campgrounds and trails that might not open until August because of deep snow still blocking them and rain is actually a lousy method of snow removal.
Our local strawberries are about a month late and corn is still in the 'cute ain't it?' stage.
I really do have a lot of sympathy for all who are dealing with very serious fire situations and those who are up over their eyebrows in flooding and hope it all resolves itself quickly.

I drove by the Bee tonight. It's pretty buttoned up with all the covers seen in the photos still on. I wonder if they'll take them off at some point or leave it like this.

'Rain' is something I go up to Seattle to experience every now and again, just to remind myself why I live in California.

Is there a realistic chance that Boeing Bee will be on permanent inside display at the museum within the next 10 years?
