Anyone got any idea on some good plane spotting? Im looking for some WWII stuff as normal:) I knw the CAF has a C-45 i believe and a T-6...am I correct? And what else is there to see at local airports? Any TBMs around here or Denver area? Ill trade tours...your plane for my plane....Mines a secret

Westpac is at the Colorado Springs airport. They are closed on Fridays so you have to visit Mon-Thurs. Don

WestPac has their TBM in their overflow hangar. It is undergoing an annual at the moment.

Here are a couple of items for you:

Peterson AFB at ColoSprs Airport did have an Aviation Museum with an associated gift shop. You might call an see if is still in existance and what it takes for access.

I do not know how far Colo Sprgs is from Pueblo (C0) but the B-24 Museum located at the local airport does (or least did) have the only surviving Lockheed B-37 Lexington. http://www.pwam.org

Also the old Lowery air museum in Denver has some nice airplanes including a B-18 Bolo.

The flying TBM (#309) is at the other end of the state at Grand Junction.....

if ya can make it up to Denver Wings over the Rockies is a good museum...

Flying warbirds (sea fury and Mustang and other stuff) usually happens out of Centennial airport on the weekends, it's the airport on the south side of Denver off to the right as your headed north on I-25.

The Lexington/Ventura is now at the NMUSAF in Dayton. I saw it sitting outside the restoration hangars last month. I asked the tour guide..she said they'd been told not to talk about it.
