Wow..they're really going to town on that Hellcat. What's the plan for it? The museum already has a restored F6F-3 and -5 on display. I would think the Otay Reservoir Helldiver or even the birdcage Corsiar would be more of a priority.

Glad to see another big flying boat preserved. Too bad she won't fly again, though.

i had an oil quantity gauge from a coronado.... E -109-4 made by liquidometer corp. w/ 4 needles, hence 1 for each engine. there can't be that many instruments to that specific aircraft floating around, i'd like to think who ever i sold it to donated it to the restoration. had i have known there was was a resto project of the type i would have donated it!! i have a few vintage coronado silhouette i.d. posters for sale, & i think a cardboard i.d. model too.
