This is super cool. The folks at Hendon have done such a great job with their muesum, this would be a great excuse to get back.
Not to thread-jack, but since we're on the topic of Dorniers, does anyone have any pics of the Do-215 that was to be recovered from the wetlands in the Netherlands?

"The fact that it was almost entirely made of aluminum and produced in one piece may have contributed to its preservation," Garside told Reuters.

Do-17 has been discussed at length here when it was first discovered, do a search.
IIRC there are no plans to recover the 215

I recall a while back (two or three years ago), there was talk of a local air museum recovering the 215. There's a mention of it over on that bastion of the interwebz fact: Wikipedia. Perhaps like other warbird recovery ideas, the money didn't catch up with the dream. In any case, I figured if anything had come of the 215 recovery, someone here would know.

How intact is the 215? Even if it's mangled up, it could provide some needed parts for the 17.

The plane has been in the Briney for approx 71 years,The DO-17 was a lightly built airframe to begin with.I wouldnt get my hopes up too high concerning recovery.I'm guessing they will haul a pile of corroded metal to the surface.I hope i'm wrong but I have my doubts.salt water, aluminium, magnesium and 71 years make bad partners
