V-1710-33 questions

Thu Mar 03, 2011 6:55 am

Hello,

I was wondering if there are any of the Allison V-1710-33 variant around? Or is it a rare engine? This was the specific type used on the early P-40B/C models.

Thanks,
Nathan

The -33 falls into the "long nose" category. I believe Kermit Weeks has a few long nose versions, but I do not know if they are specifically the -33 version.

Yes, they are rare.
