This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

I went to a military memorabilia show yesterday in Louisville. I picked up a few Military traing manuals and was wondering if anybody had or knoew of where to get a list of all manuals that were issued to pilots, copolits, bombardiers, Navigators, Flight Engineers, Gunners, radio operators. I have meteorolgybooks, navigation books, and flight instrument books. Any Ideas?

I seem to recall a partial list that was posted on a website but I cannot remember where or when I saw it. The list is going to be quite a lengthy thing in itself as there are so many different editions of the manuals. My main area of interest is in the bomber training of the 2nd Air Force and there are dozens of manuals written and produced just in the Heavy and Very Heavy Bombardment Phase Training curricula.
I'll go through my contact lists and see what I can scare up. Congratulations on finding and preserving the manuals. I've got a goodly number of them and actually used the Instrument Training and Meteorology books during my instrument training. The books might be old, but the info is still useful!

Yeah, Reading these makes me realize how much more they had to learn then we currently do. I am an instructor and I use these manuals to get a more in depth look at some of the instruments. I Have been collecting them for a few years. I have found a bunch at Antique stores. I would appreciate any list you can get. It will start me in the right direction
