This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

I've been buying a lot of stuff on eBay that came from an estate sale in Ohio last April for the collection of John Durand. Apparently he was a Goodyear engineer, a big fan of Corsairs, and especially of the F2G Super Corsairs. It's possible that he had some involvement with Cook Cleland's team. He had an enormous collection of photo's of Corsairs and air racing planes, some F2G engineering drawings, and some fabric swatches from some of the racing F2G's. I've picked up several dozen negatives from his collection, ranging in size from about 2"x2" to 5 3/4"x3 1/2", all with JCD marked on the border.
I was just curious if anyone here had heard of him, or seen his collection before it was split up. I'd like to learn more about him if possible.
