Iwo Jima was invaded. Let us never forget the brave men who fought and died on that volcanic rock.

For anyone who wants to read more about the batlle for Iwo, I recommend the book, "Red Blood, Black Sand" by 5th Marine veteran Chuck Tatum. Mr Tatum recounts the battle in way that makes the book very hard to put down. After reading the book I called Mr Tatum and spend probably 15 minutes talking to him. He could not be more accommodating. I then mailed the book to him for his signiture. A real nice man for sure.
