I hope he's still patrolling the hangar. Whoever got there first in the morning had to get the golf cart and take Skeeter on a trip around the property before moving on to airplane stuff.

I don't have any pics, but last year we had a 3 skunks, a mother & her 2 babies. They were used to us, we were used to them, we fed them & one would even come up for a sniff & a pat on the head!

Here is my Beagle named Bella. She is a hangar dog, man cave dog, where ever just so there is something soft to sleep on.

His name was "King" .. this was taken some 57+ years ago at the "Kooni" Range in Korea. While not a K-9, he was an excleent watch dog ... In the background you can see the Yellow Sea.

King was a fine looking dog.ya gotta love a great doggie. The only critters that I see in Chino that might qualify as Mascots are cockroaches.oh yeh,and the occasional Buzzard

I got a shot from back in 2003 when we visited Chino and this cat (sorry, not sure where the photo is) a little black and grey tiger striped cat, came out of the planes and said Hi.....got a picture of my friend's son posing with him...anyone know the cat I'm talking about?

Tasha with jcw's SNJ during the rebuild. She loved the airport and chewed up every wood chock
she could find. She also loved laying behind the PT-13D and SNJ when they were running but
always stayed away from the other end.

The day after the sad event of our PT-26 crash tragedy, a small black stray showed up at the front door of the Dixie Wing. Taking this small black cat under our wing was the first step in a long healing process for our chapter.

Aileron became part of the Dixie Wing family for several years, finding many good places to hang out amongst our warbirds. I recollect a few times returning back to Peachtree City (KFFC) in the P-51 or SBD and seeing a snall black shape sitting at the hangar entrance awaiting our return.

He recently retired to one of our mechanics homes to enjoy the rest of his years...we do miss him a lot...

Having a black cat myself (Shadow), I can definitely say they ARE good luck.....strangely enough only in America are they associated with bad luck, mostly because we associate them with witches. Aileron in that one photo where he's on the table looks to be a pretty good sized cat!
