I've heard of it, never used it. But I do understand it is good stuff. Just never got around to using it- usually have a can of JB Blaster available, and I swear by that stuff. But I am willing to try Kroil, if I find it around sometime.

I've used it for years when disassembling the hot section of jet engines. Works great. Also works on rusted bolts on old trucks that have lived up North in the salt.

We have been using Kroil extensively on the Corsair Tear down. Get the Aerosol or use a hypo or spritzer bottle to apply from the can, the stock cap on the can sucks. Beats PB Blast and WD40. Work your nuts back and forth if they are rusty and let the oil do its job... Yea I know it sounds like porrnn instructions but trust be it works best that way.

I have used Kroil extensively and it works great. It was a life saver when dissassembling my M151A1 for restoration. It even worked on the rusty old exhaust bolts.

I used to work with the armorer for a company that imported M-1 Garands and M-1 Carbines from S. Korea. They'd been in storage there since the Korean War and sometimes it took a bit of Kroil to get them apart. Cosmoline doesn't always do it's job. I learned about Garands, Carbines, and Kroil from him.

You've noticed that too huh? The caps have been lousey for the past few cans I've used. I usually end up just wrapping a rag around the top of the can.
Dosent change the fact that the stuff does a great job though.

I was going to post words to that effect! I ordered a case of the stuff
several years ago, and my only complaint is how badly the cap leaks.
Maybe it's a ploy for you to use more Kroil than you need so you have
to buy the stuff more often....

FWIW, a neighbor called them and bitched about the leaky caps and they sent him
a few extra cans....
