Any Wixers In Hawaii?

I have an offer of a cheap fight there on Hawaiian Airlines, but have some questions?

Is it the rainy season in winter/spring? The trip can only be Jan thru May.
Which Island and resort or hotel do you suggest. I sort of favor Kauai, but don't know what resorts are there, haven't been there in years since before the hurricane destroyed so much.
Is there any good warbird rentals or flying to do there? I prefer flying to just a static museum.
I know there use to be a man who did Stearman rides.
