Sad state for a B-29 cockpit section

Wow! Well the last picture shows a Blue Nose P-51D in the background. Any ideas?

It may be the one from the CAF at Midlamd. We had one for years sitting in the salvage yard but was scrapped/sold a few years ago.

That is a very cool display. I dont know if I'd call it "sad." It looks like they did a nice job getting it back into shape, and now it is stored indoors in a hanger being appreciated along with a pair of P-51's. It sure beats being scrapped.

As far as location I'll take a W.A.G... Two blue nosed P-51's? Stallion 51 in Florida?

Understood.., much better than being outside.., but the last photo with the plywood flooring and the easy boy office chair kind of floored me.

Cool Idea and certainly wish I had that as my office..Looks like you are sitting in the nose of the Millenium Falcon!

It seems as good a use as any as I imagine putting it back to 100% authentic might be tough, and it could stand to have some more interior pieces maybe. And of course some nose art. Overall though... rad.

I was in Jr. High when Star Wars came out, and my freinds and I assumed they'd used an old B-29 cockpit section for the Millenium Falcon (hey..we were kids!)

As for the Kee Bird documentary, I watched it when it first aired. Great show, but I haven't been able to bring myself to watch it again.
