Scenes from Paine Field 9-11-10

Mon Sep 13, 2010 3:42 pm

I had to work and missed the FHC Fly Day featuring the Mustang and Thunderbolt but still got a little bit of a show from them and more later in the afternoon. Historic Flight Foundation and Flying Heritage Collection both participated in the Mukilteo Lighthouse Festival. I shot the take offs from HFF and the landings at Future of Flight.

Great shots Al. Nice to see Pat Donovan's 12 in good company, after spending months in the hangar next door to our office undergoing final repairs for its flight to the US.....

Just beautiful!

I'm surprised to see the pilot of the Waco with his scarf trailing behind. I was told that was only done in movies, and if you tried it in real life the scarf would flap in the slipstream and beat you senseless.
