EC-121T at Camarillo - N548GF 53-548

Sun Aug 29, 2010 12:13 pm

If there is anyone on this forum associated with the Yanks museum at Chino, could you please enlighten us about the status of this aircraft? It was supposed to be ferried from Camarillo to Chino last summer or fall, but it still languishes at Camarillo, due to paperwork, from what I hear.

Thanks,

Walt

I just read on that page that the Helena EC-121T is going to be flown out on a ferry flight when ready! A bold undertaking given how sedentary that airframe has been. That should be quite a sight.... Thanks for the link to the connie survivors page, I had not looked at that in a long time.

engguy,

That's exactly what I'm writing about. Ralph Pettersen said in his post on ConnieSurvivors that several e-mails to Yanks have gone unanswered, and I was trying to see if anyone on WIX might have the info he's asking about.

Please, folks. Someone out there knows the story. If it's something that need to be kept under wraps, tell me and at least I'll know.
