Navy Ship-Wreck Question

I know this is the wrong forum for this but I wanted to get max viewing...

My Uncle served on the Destroyer Escort USS Day, DE-225 during WWII (saw a lot of action in the Pacific). It was sunk as a target by the Navy in 1969 off the coast of California. Is there a website or any resource where I can find a picture of the ship being sunk? I would like to find it for him if it exists. Thanks for the help/advice...

Thanks. I've seen those (and they are good). I'd really like to find info on it's destruction and pictures of it when it was mothballed for decades...

My Uncle's ship faired a little better. He served on the Treasury class cutter Duane WPG-33
from 1940-45 inclucing many N. Atlantic convoy escorts and the invasion of S. France.
The Duane served long and is now a artifical reef in the FL Keys and a very popular
diving attraction being only in 120' of water.
