Welcome to WIX, Nick.
Might we assume you have a little flight time in a certain P-51 as well?

Welcome aboard!
Always been a fan of the P-51H, which I'm assuming your grandad still owns? Also noticed this entry on the Warbird registry on this site:

Hi welcome, Nick! We're glad to have you. It's always nice to see fresh faces here. Since you've been lurking for a while, you know how WIX works. Things sometimes get heated here, but it's nothing personal. It's more like siblings fighting at the dinner table. Just don't talk politics, and you'll do just fine.

Welcome aboard Nicholas. Funny story about your dad. We were out at the Chino airshow a couple of years ago with SUSU before it's unfortunate demise. We were on static display with your "H" parked right next to us. Both aircraft were roped off from the crowd. A guy snuck under the ropes and kind of walked around the plane and then hopped up on the wing. My "ignorant airshow spectator" alarm went off thinking someone actually had the gonads just to hop up on someones airplane. I knew that your family owned the plane but had never met any of you. As politely as possible I strolled over to the guy and asked if he knew the owner of the plane and if it was ok with him that he was standing on the wing. He Introduced himself as Steve Coutches and he was the owner. Quite embarrassed, I apologized for the mistake. Instead of being angry, he thanked me for my concern and watching out for his plane while he was away from it. I spent the rest of the day comparing the D and H models.

Thanks for watching the plane. people don't tend to cross the ropes to much with the h, but with the d you cant let your guard down! it seems like peoples "oooooooo shiny" reflex kicks in. (thanks for letting me look in the cockpit of susu that year, such a shame to loose such a pretty airplane)

Welcome Sir, hope you enjoy yourself here, & thanks to your family for keeping some aviation history alive with the airplanes they have owned.
Best Regards
Robbie

Hi Nicholaus,
Have seen you many times over the years, mostly in the back of the D model, and recently at Auburn. You guys headed over to Watsonville next weekend?
