When they suck the mud out of the aircraft before they start to raise her is there an effort to see if anything of interest is sucked out? I'm curious about this and figured I'd ask.

It is very cool to see this happening and I'm excited to see a Helldiver heading to fill a much needed hole in the Navy Collection.

I've never asked that question. Judging from the fact
that I've seen and examined many cockpit items from
the previously raised Lake Birds ranging from oxygen
masks to survival water, matches, fishing gear, etc.
I'd say yes, they will check.
