I was wondering if anyone might have information on Melvin Sheets. I'm trying to recall, but I believe he went missing in action and Curdes went back to look for him. In the process, Curdes ran out of gas in his P-38 and bacame a POW in Italy. Curdes escaped, but I'm not sure what happened to Sheets.
Thanks in advance for any information.
