Mixsmasters in Dayton?

Hi All,

Someone on a modeling forum mentioned visiting the restoration center at the NMUSAF last week, and seeing both Douglas Mixmasters (prop and jet) standing side-by-side. Last I knew they were in storage at Garber..when were they shipped to Dayton?

There is an editorial in the current Air and Space magazine about the transfer of these two to NMUSAF.

Don't get me started about the NASM's criteria for restoration and display policy.
The fact that the planes (and The Swoose) seemingly haven't been touched in my lifetime (but did have the time and money to restore the Aichi M6A Seiran) pretty much sums it up.
