Anyone know how many Crusader airframes are in private hands and are viable candidates for flyers?

Thanks

I may be wrong, but I understand that the two that Thunderbird Aviation had (and flew) are now with Paul Allen.

I was in tuscon about 6 mos ago, saw several F-8's in one yard- I think it was near or at the western aviation yard, there were 3-4, with wings nearby and they were amongst a number of S-2's and A-7's, didn't get a real close look, but I did get a couple pictures, they were probably RF's. I'll try to find my pics and post them or a link......

I thought I posed this question on the forum before but, I can't find it. In the mid 1990's there were six F-8A's for sale in Trade-A-Plane. No photo, just a classified ad. Does anyone know what happened to them? Seems that they were located in the northwestern part of the U.S. or where the seller was located.
