Congrats, something good coming out of the CAF. Well done. Whats that South Texas boy doing with a coat on this time of year? Little cool up there still? How you doing Chris, we haven't talked in over a week.

Jim,
Y'all got a spare engine for your 22? We just found out that our R-56 is dead.
Thanks,

Bob,
Sorry, no spare. We went through Antique Aero in CA for our engine overhaul... they do nice work.

I loved the PT-22 when we had one assigned here with the New Mexico Wing. It was my favorite! It was kind of crazy us having it here with our altitude. We could only fly it in the winter - never even tried to fly it in the summer with the 100 degree density altitude. And only the light weight guys would fly it! We finally decided it was silly for us to have it so we put it up for reassignment. I wonder if yours is the same airplane? If so it is really nice to know it is in your wonderful care, and at sea level!

It isn't ours, we had ours donated by a gentleman in Wisconsin. Yours could have gone to the Inland Empire Wing or the Rio Grande Valley Wing, I know they both operate PT-22s, as well as Old Dominion Squadron. Either way, sounds like they are all well taken care of!

I doubt it is the Old Dominion bird as we just bought ours from a member. If you have the N number I will check on it for you.
