Thanks for bringing attention to the updates!
Wow, I had no idea there were 2 P-38's being restored to flying. I only knew about the one for Paul Allen, but who is the other company - Feenix partners? I've never heard of them. Can anyone enlighten us?
After these 2 are flying, that will bring the world's airworthy population of P-38's up to 9! That's a far cry from the 3 we had just 4 or 5 years ago.
Their restorations are absolutely world class and gorgeous. What a fantastic operation!
Mudge is going to drool when he sees those P-38 pictures at the website!

I visited Westpac last month. My friend Lefty is the metal wizard and the work they are doing is first class. His metal work is incredible and he has learned several old school methods to reproduce parts exactly like the originals. The P-38 lower cowl piece is very complex with several compound curves. The Wespac facility is spotless and has a huge reference library. Can't wait to see the 38s finished. Don
