Thanks for posting the photos. Good museum. Nice selection of the history of Hurlburt. Tough area to maintain aircraft - corrosion. I have seen other photos when some of the aircraft were flat paint. It could have been original paint from their flying days. I don't know. I like the flat finish. In most cases that's how they were when they were in service. Thanks again.

Thanks for the pics. Good to see that they are taking care of those birds. My last visit there was in 2004.

Looks like the A-1E SEA scheme was changed to a gray paint job and the B-26K has been repainted - too bad it lost the "TA" tail code.

Are the T-28, A-37, and Huey still there?

The B-26K 64-17666 is not in very good shape inside to say the least. She is a composite airframe. Their is a member of this board who has more information on her and may know more about all the machines in the park.

509 (AC-130A) is in fairly complete shape and healthy shape as for the others I can not say. They seem to get fresh paint every six months, but I have never seen any of the others open and I drive by them twice a day 6-8 month a years.

I have always liked the K model of the A/B-26. Nice to know that the former Lynch air tanker N4988N will fly again soon. I have waited for that for a number of years.

I note that the Hurlburt B-26K is in the camo colors at present. In the warbirdregistry there are two photos of 666, one in beat up camo and one in the early style emerald green and grey scheme.





I saw the a/c in 1993, at which stage it wore the camo colors. When did it wear the other scheme?
