Looked around that site a bit, seems the common method to *restore* anything they find is to beat the snot out of it with a wirewheel....

Does anybody know what became of that thread both here and at Fly Past about using digging equipment at the dumps of old bases of the Eighth to recover relics? I really liked it, especially the pictures. They recovered some really cool things.

I notice that the last post was made in January of this year, so I wonder what the status of their endeavor is. I'm fascinated by what they've done.

That thread gets me to wondering about what might be found under former RAF and Luftwaffe fields. I hope plenty!

Simon and the rest of us have been working on smaller individual projects over the last few months.
Snettisham and Deenethorpe for me, while Simon is still working on finding homes for all the parts we recovered last time.

All being well there will be something to report on soon.........
