Haha! Jerry you laugh but many people really don't know, and for the record the MBMA was the first group to complain. And Jim I'll buy off the HeIIs angels was first as soon as there is proof.

I'd love to see it as Hells Angels!

Like the helo. Looks nice. EC-135 I think. Correct me if I am wrong.

http://www.303rdbg.com/h-ha-mb.html compare the numbers...its all a moot issue at this point BUT even the documentation at the USAFM denotes that Hells Angels completed 25 before the Belle... but the name HA didn't conform to the Air Force profile of the time. The media ball was rolling...

Jim that's all great except for one problem. There are many errors that were Found in the last few years between record keeping at the bases compared to the records of aircraft logbooks. Neither the Belles or Hell's Angels log books match what base records show. So no one is sure who did what first. This even puts an unnamed B-24 in the running. The fact is that these aircraft finished their 25 missions near eachother. Only one of which remains today. The group that saved her made an agreement that no other B-17 would carry her exact markings. All parties agreed. It's the MBMA that raised the issue, the NMUSAF contacted the movie belle guys and reminded them of this agreement. So how exactly is the NMUSAF wrong here other than just being the NMUSAF? The are restoring the two most historic B-17's that remain, but rather than show support, some like to sit back and complain or throw digs every chance they get. Is it a perfect organization? No. Show me one that is. But they do a great job and are getting better everyday

Yup. The Ec-135. We also use the EC-145. We have 18 airframes. Also used to have dolphines. I loved them. I left the helos when I got my ATC job.

I agree. It would be cool to have it flown that way to tell the whole story.

And Jim H none of the above is aimed at you.
