N9MB Flying Wing

Wed May 12, 2010 10:38 pm

The Wing had several engine runs at Chino today and rumor has it that it will fly in the morning (Thursday) for the first time in four years.....since an engine fire on take-off while filming an IMAX segment. Keep your fingers crossed for a (flying) air show appearance.

The Northrop Flying Wing completed 2 flights today and should be a go for the Chino Air Show this weekend. Congratulations to Ron and the crew for geting her back in the air!

Is anyone able to tell me what this wing flys like.
It seems like many of the early flying wings were prone to lack of pitch control.
The Northrop ones seem to have made many flights with only one fatality that I know of.
