Pacific Clipper, the Long Way Home video

My mother sent this to me and thought I might like to share it with the WIXers. Sorry if it's been posted before, but I don't recall it within recent history.

Neat story about a Pan Am Clipper on the way to NZ from Hawaii when news about Pearl Harbor reached them, and their secret instructions after getting that news.

Very nicely done... story would make a great full length movie.

I met the three men who wrote this book recently... it's a hell of a story. One of the the authors, Col.Al Tucker, was a decorated P-38 pilot, who trained, and flew with Robin Olds. A remarkable fellow, and really decent chap. He originally thought of the story as worthy of a screen play, which is what led to the book. I really hope it gets made into a film, as it's one of the most remarkable feats of aviation to come from WWII.

Cheers,
Richard
