WestPac...Tours?

Tue Feb 23, 2010 3:46 pm

Does anyone know if WestPac offers or allows tours of their facilities? The website makes the place look beyond impressive and I'd like to see some of their exciting work in person..as well as the B-25 and P-47. My father is coming to Denver to visit the first week in April and I'd love to drive him down to check it out.

Do they have a designated spot at the fence where one can just stand and drool?

Unless they open the hangers, there isn't anything visible at the fence. Very sanitary facility.
There is a main work-restoration hanger & 3 small 'museum' hangers. All doors visible from the parking lot.

Very nice drive from/through Colo. Springs, though. The Radison nearby has their KC-97 right on the road.
And Petersen Field has a nice display of jets on the east side of the airport.

Actually, we do allow tours in conjunction with the museum that is in current fundraising mode. We are open Mondays thru Thursdays. We do like to try to schedule any kind of tour if possible as we are a working shop. Feel free to contact the front office and schedule a time to come out. And remember, donations for the museum are always welcome!

And don't forget the museum, and the awesome P47 and P40 at Peterson, unless they took them down!

Westpac is repairing an aircraft that my company maintains, some minor structural work....

I've been there about 3 times (Including today) SK - nice meeting you! That Colonel was really impressed - it's a good thing because not only is he my indirect boss, but he hold the purse strings.

Great place with some outstanding projects - looking forward to bringing you guys some more work and always appreciate the hospitality!!!!

To all you other folks - neeener, neeener, neeeeeeeneeer! :butthead:
