Ok, so I got this picture on Wednesday.

Now you have to identify when it was taken and where...

I'm going to say Midland and it's "Tinker Belle", so I'm guessing the photo wasn't that long ago.

Looks like Tinker Belle in the same place she was yesterday on the "cinder" ramp at Midland, just off the Victor taxiway into the CAF complex. The new Invader Squadron had the A-26 in the main hangar starting on an inspection.

I would venture to say that the photo was taken in someone's driveway somewhere in Texas.

Those who guessed it was a recent shot and from Midland are correct!

We were flying overhead on Wednesday and I snapped these shots from a couple of miles out. Wish I had a better camera!

Just as a side note to Randy's post mentioning the new Invader Squadron, he is referring to the A-26 formerly known as Spirit of Waco. The new squadron is getting it ready to bring it home to it's new home at Meacham Field in Fort Worth. It's not coming to the VFM, we don't have enough room unfortunately, but they will be based at the Atlantic Aviation hangar on the field. People involved in the squadron tell me that they plan to rename the plane and it probably won't be a "Spirit of..." name.

Meacham is slowly becoming a nice little nest for warbirds these days! 8) Two Invaders, a Fort, a Mitchell, two DC-3's, plus everything else we've got at the museum! :D
