Thunder Over Michigan 2010 Question

Fri Feb 19, 2010 2:08 pm

What kind of tickets do most of you that attend Thunder Over Michigan purchase? I wasn't able to go last year, but in the past I've always just purchased general admission tickets and been able to find good spots to sit, take photos, etc. Is it worth it to get Grandstand seating, or one of the Club packages? Thanks for any info!

Zack

I would consider the Photo Pit, but I will have my 8 year-old son with me, and I know some photographers can get a little finicky about having kids around. Based on experience - is the TOM Photo Pit kid friendly?

I think they are having grandstand seats this year (If I recall correctly from the website). They are very nice and help cut down on the crowding a little bit. Get there very early and get a good seat (it is very nice if you bring the wifee and she hangs out in that spot reading while check out the aircraft.

The photo pit is great but it cost a bit much if that is not your thing. Of course it will be filled with WIX and fenceCheck folks. I think I'd have to go the pit route even if I did not have a camera just because all my friends are there and an airshow that I'm not hanging with them sucks.

I'm considering going to my first TOM this summer so this info is very helpful. I don't want to regret not going all out if it will give me a better experience.
