In a D-model they control the coolant and oil cooler doors.

These are for the coolant doors, but the black box on the end containing all the gubbins is twice the size of a P51 version. LOTS more stuff in there.

Just wondering (from an earlier thread) what did you use to paint the actuator with to get the yellow Zinc-Chromate color? Or is it actually Zinc Chromate? Nice job on the unit. Is it for the C&P or Reilly F-82 Restoration project?

I'm sure the Museaum of the USAF is going to put it on the one the accquired from the CAF!

I'll take a look at the paint next week, pretty sure it's yellow Z/Chr.
They are for the F82 that's further along than the other one

& since someone mentioned the CAF one....
Is the one that the AF got back from the CAF the one that was at Gillespie Field in San Diego?
