445thBG B-24 named ''BTOs'' or ''The BTOs'' ?

Sat Jan 30, 2010 11:19 am

Hi there, I'm looking for some nose art for a 445th BG, 703rd Squadron B-24 called something like ''BTOs'' or ''The BTOs'' which apparently stood for 'Big Time Operators'.

Any info would be appreciated, as this request is for the son of a veteran and I'd like to be able to help them out.

Thanks in advance :)

You are looking for a B-24 called BTO ( Big Time Operator ).

http://www.tankbooks.com/interviews/mastrogiacomo.htm, your friend might have been on the same crew as Sam, if you get me a name I'll run it by Sam.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Gary

Thanks for your reply, Gary. The veteran's son is the chap I've been speaking to via email. I'll send you a PM with the details you requested.
