Does anyone have an Avia S-199 data plate, or any original 199 parts, that they might be willing to part with? I'm also looking for Jumo 211F parts, and a VS-11 prop hub - for an airworthy rebuild (more, 'resurrection').
BTW, if there is a source for blank Avia data plates from the correct period - I'd make my own if I can't find an original.

Wow! An S-199 to fly?!?!?! Where is it located and is it from Czech or Israeli stocks?

Awesome news!
Be sure to share pics and location if possible. You've just tapped into the largest gathering of scroungers on the web, so if you need a variety of bits be sure to post a list.

It's a pastiche of original 109G and new-build parts. I'd like to put at least some original 199 parts into it. Fly date is a long way off as it is a personal project, rather than a customer project. But I will post pics as they become available.
Thanks for the suggestions and advice. A project like this would be impossible without WIX and similar groups.

Fellow WIXers: My apologies for dominating the thread, but this link is just an excellent thread on the S-199, including pilot comments on the type. Enjoy.
