Soviet Big Iron day, Cold War Air Museum

Wed Jan 20, 2010 12:11 pm

Saturday the 23rd of Jan (this Saturday) is shaping up to be Big Iron Saturday at the Cold War Air Museum.

It's not exactly an event... it just looks like we're going to have the Mi-24D Hind and the MiG-23UB out on the ramp for starting at the same time.

Also likely that the Mi-2 helicopter and some of the L-39s and L-29s will be flying as well.

We're kinda-sorta going to get there around 9am and start pulling stuff out... noise making should start around 11am, roughly sorta.

Sounds like a fun little event. Too bad I am too far away to check it out.

I hope all goes well and that there's a good turn out. Please take some pictures so we can see how it goes.

Peace,

David
