Hey Guys
I am currently looking to rent a currently airworthy C-130 for a couple of weeks film work in mid March.
The a/c must be civilian owned and in N. America
Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Cam, one that immediately comes to mind is C-GHPW owned by First Air. It was on the ramp in Hamilton last week. Heard it had broke down.

There's the former US Navy/NASA bird at Racine WI (KRAC) N427NA. It'll need some work to be airworthy. It last flew in fall of 2004 but has been run since.

Isn't there one at Mojave?

I'm with Mike, I think First Air is your best bet. Last time I was on a show that needed one that's where it came from.
good luck

I saw on the news that a couple of the First Air Hercs were dropping supplies in Haiti. I don't know if they're still doing it, but they were down there.
I wish I could help with finding you one, but maybe that little bit of info helps.
Peace,
David

We weren't broke down, we were just sitting there "on spec" after some pre-Christmas Mexico stuff. I flew -HPW down to Dulles and then on to Haiti last week. We're on the Haitian relief airlift now, working out of KMIA. I think we're even working out of what used to be known as "Corrosion Corner".

Lynden Air Cargo up in Alaska still flies them regularly.
In addition Snow Aviation has their testbed aircraft at Columbus Rickenbacker.
Might want to contact them.

They brought one of their ex-firetankers to the Madera Air Show last summer. They might be a good lead.

Both our Hercs (First Air) are operating out of Miami and running relief to Haiti. If you need a contact for them, call and ask for Kevin Vickers or Dave Morgan at 867-669-6600 during regular office hours. I have their other contact numbers for after hours. PM me if you need them.
