I'd guess no. Otherwise it would be listed as an 0-2 or Model 336.

I'm sure someone else here can definitively answer this for you. It was built in 67, but still lacks the military designation. I don't know if the military used any pure 337's.

----

From what I can gather on the 'net, the Designation 337A is the same as some 0-2B's models and the O-2A was designated 337M (for military).

I can find no link to the 337B and the military.. but like I said, I'm sure someone out here can definitively answer this

The model 336 is actually a fixed gear version of the Skymaster. Not many were built. I have only seen one. The military never operated it in any guise.

No, I believe he meant that the US Military did not operate any 336s; the fixed gear version of Skymaster in response to the previous poster. Other countries may have used the 336.

My father flew N2413S for Shell Oil Company around 1970. He had his instructors rating, and my logbook shows some hours in the left seat in 1970 when I was 13 years old. The plane was based at Priester Aviation near Chicago, Illinois. The airport was named Palwaukee (PWK), but it has been renamed to Chicago Executive Airport.

PEE-KAY Floats put a 336 (N 1795L) on amphibious floats back in the mid 70's, What a pig! It took abut three days to get on the step after a water run of about half way from New Orleans to Bay St. Louis, if you lost an engine it COULD maintain a steep angle of glide to it's touchdown point. It showed up @ NBAA in New Orleans in about 1976 and drew lots of curious looks and pointed fingers but not much else.
