Can anyone ID for me the training aircraft in the following photos that I have in my collection.

On a hunch, since it looks vaguely T-28ish and there are a bunch of Navions in the background, I did some Googling around. It appears to be one of the two prototypes of the North American XSN2J, a proposed Naval trainer.

That was my thought...........someone tried to do the right thing with the T-28 design

XSN2J, they liked the design, but wanted a nose gear, so it became the T-28.
