Japanese 'Zero' Battle of the Philippine Sea Artwork

Tue Dec 29, 2009 9:26 pm

Greetings, folks:

Funny thing - I tried to join this forum only to discover that I joined three years ago. Anyway, this is my first post since 2007.

I just put together this new piece that I wanted to share:

Image

A6M5 'Zero' on the deck of CVL 'Junyo' on the morning of June 19, 1944. This was my first attempt at depicting exhaust smoke - the sort-of-which one would expect on a chilly dawn warm-up.

I do this full time now, and am always eager to hear feedback from folks.

Thanks!

- Ron
