Nice photos. Where is this F-4 located and what is it going to be used for?

The Phantom is F-4C 64-0747 and it is owned by Dave Garbe iirc he is based out of PA. The F-4 is for the most part complete, just DRMO'd as per sop. Dave plans to restore it to static. Dave also owns the cockpit of F-4D 65-0720. I believe there is a forum for those who restore cockpits that he posts on. Perhaps our resident F-84 cockpit owner, BHawthorne know more.

Yes this is a "Punkie" while with the 339th FG, 504th FS. For the longest time I've been looking for additional pictures of this bird while it was "Punkie". This mishap occured at the begining of Jan of 1945 due to fuel starvation.

The damage was repaired and 42-106886 was reissued to the 78th Fighter Group, 84th Fighter Squadron as WZ + p. The information I've found is that it was used as a hack but did go on combat sorties.

LT. Blizzard's replacement:

I forgot about this one. While its not on the ground, this T-33 did IFE into YARB, OH due to inflight release of the canopy in very cold winter month of Jan or Feb.

That's been done in a Catalina too, Vernicator. David Legg may have a photo of it.

Berndt Balchen also used the PBY for a toboggan during the rescue of a downed B-17 crew.
