Vought F6U and V-163 Restoration Update

Wasn't sure where to post these pictures taken yesterday, 8 December but this seems as good a place as any. The F6U is on its landing gear and was being very actively worked by several volunteers, including the scratch building of an ejection seat from the original drawings. The V-173 was inactive but I was told that the goal was to complete it by early 2011.

I don't think they have a museum that's open yet, but they do have an occassional Open House.
I believe eventually, the V-173 will go back to the Smithsonian and the F6U to Pensacola.
