Made front page of the Local Paper

Hello All.

Thought I would share the article that was put in the local paper about me and the restoration of my plane. They did a great job on the article, and put together a short movie off of the interview. One of the local EAA members had them come out and interview me. Here is the link.

By the way, what ever happened to that P-39 you mentioned in the clip? Those are fascinating old birds

Fantastic interview and exposure! It's great to see young people get involved in warbirds. After all, it's people like you who are the future of aviation! Keep up the good work. I have no doubt that someday you will be restoring much more exotic, rare and expensive stuff.

Thank you all for the great comments, I was shocked to see it on the front page of the paper! As for the P-39 I am not sure who was the buyer. I originally spread the word about the Aircobra for sale and located a buyer for them to help them out, and everything was set up for him to buy it and they ended up selling it from right out under him the day he was going to wire the money. Also if you guys are interested I do have a thread going in the Hanger on the restoration of the Yale.

She did make it there but didn't fly till after the races, I'm sure she will be there next year. I didn't make it to Reno with her but help out over in TX.

That would explain it......

They had a model of it sitting on the ground in the pits...... No Ghost. They told us at one of the media meetings they were bringing it, then the "word" was it wasn't going to make it. I left Sunday after the Gold Race and headed to Las Vegas....

That explains it.

"The Galloping Ghost" is a highly modified P-51 Mustang owned by Jimmy Leeward. As I mentioned above, I don't know were the P-39 ended up. It was owned by Jack Taft, out of Jackson MI, I think he bought it over from new guinea.
