Back in the day....

I first came to Dayton, OH in 1972 and was a frequent visitor to the USAF Museum. Only two display bays back then! I particularly liked their gift shop. I distinctly remember above one of the book shelves they had a paper airplane sample on display that when constructed was a wing tip-to-wing tip 3D front profile of a C-47. It had to be at least five feet wide. As I recall it cost something like $5.95. Admittedly at the time I thought it a great waste of effort and thought they should have done a B-17 instead. Now, 37 years on, I am something of a C-47 junkie and would love to find one of these. Anybody ever seen one? Know where one can be had? I would be willing to DOUBLE (maybe even TRIPLE) the price! :D
