B-25 "Pacific Prowler" article

Mon Nov 23, 2009 11:14 am

For those that missed it and have access to the Nov issue of Fly Past, Scott Thompson authored a very informative article about the B-25 "Pacific Prowler" when it was the camera ship for Tallmantz Aviation and how it evolved into the fine looking Mitchell it is today. Nice work Scott!

It's amazing where articles about us pop up. I will have to go out and get that issue.

guess I will need to pick this one up since my uncle was the one that removed the talmantz paint and put the OD job on it before she went to the UK for the filming of Memphis Belle.

Now is that the real famous camera nosed B-25? It is now Pacific Prowler? I thought for a while no one knew the ID of it or something.

There were three Tallmantz B-25 camera ships: the original Mantz B-25H (N1203) has been off the radar screen since about 1976; N1042B is Pacific Prowler; N9451Z is on a pylon at Malmstrom AFB, Montana.
