C-47 soundbite wanted

Sat Oct 10, 2009 4:59 am

Hope someone can help.

I'm looking for an online recording of a C-47 / DC-3 / Dakota flying over to be able to use for a presentation, ideally a fade in fade out as though passing by the listener art a distance overhead.

This DC-3 website has a load of great sounds, but NOT that one I need!

if you find what you want in you tube, it's easy to get the sound out...

Here is a clip of the WWII ADT C-47 that might be about what you need, assuming you can get the sound off a youtube video. This is video taken by my wife and I edited it; you have permission to use the sound if it will work for your project.

I've extracted the DC3 bit and put it here:

Thanks for that. I can't get the second batch ('Sounds by the Museum Staff') to work at all. Is it just me?

More soon,
