Hello,
Try this list from my website. I have tried to account for all the early Republic and Seversky aircraft that still exist.

http://www.p-35.com/new_page_4.htm

It lists most of the "razorback" survivors for the P-47 along with pics and history. I welcome any feedback, updates for the information presented.

Seems like I was told there was remains of 2 Razorbacks here in IL, just down the road from Mike Keller's B-17 project. Anyone know anything?

I remember hearing about that too. I do believe that Westpac has two birdcage examples it's working on as well. I know I sold them some fuel gauges for eaerly P-47's about two years ago, and they were going into one of their restorations, but they couldn't say which one unfortunately. Any ideas?

Cheers,
Richard

You guys really need to check out the warbird registry occasionally!

Randy Ferris pulled the remains of P-47B 41-5920 out of the same swamp that Lex recovered the Brewster. He apparently also recovered bits of two other B's from New Jersey.

I have a few pics of the recovered remains buried somewhere, but this was years ago. Perhaps one of the Marengo bunch knows of Randy's whereabouts and what ever became of this project.

So Bill, do they know what markings it may have had with the 56th and how many combat missions?

Interesting....when did this happen to the Chino bird ?

By the looks of cars early 70's ?

Checking the registry wont do much good. Alot of outdated info there.

I'm almost positive Randy's example is one of the birds in this pic:

Always happy to be proven wrong, but I'm pretty confident no B models were ever flown by the 56th or the 348th anywhere but stateside.

Picture Ident

Yes, I believe his plane is the 5th (farthest from the camera).
I cannot remember what number it carried, but when I see him,
I'll ask again.

You are quite probably correct.

But I noticed at this link you can zoom on the photo. Try zooming in on the fourth Jug in line. Does anyone else think the last four digits look like 5920 ?

The engine quit at the point magu airshow. They ended up putting a new wing on it. I think it happened in the late 70's
