Super Connie Re-assembled

Sun Sep 27, 2009 1:23 am

The Seattle Super Connie has been re-assembled and tucked into plant II with the B-17 and B-29. There's a couple of pic's of the B-17 and B-29 so I'm posting this here...

Scott,
Saturday @ the WARBIRD WEEKEND @ KPAE I listened to a recounting of the trip here from Noo Yawk and all the side roads, detours and general 'fun' everyone had (the speaker may well have been you as I came into the tent after the recounting started) You need to put that story in book format along with all the photos I saw, what a wonderful recounting and lesson on moving large items cross country.
It's a real shame that Boeing is considering tearing down the 4-20 because it really is the history of progress, advancement, technical prowess, war time 'can do' and development of aviation into the current age with the '37 being built there for some length of time in the 60's/70's(I was down the road @ the 14-01 hammering the -100's and early -200's together for a while in the late 60's).
